Today we enjoyed our final day in Guatemala together before heading home. We spent the morning exploring the beautiful city of Antigua Guatemala, including visits to Cerro de la Cruz and Las Capuchinas, a convent that was founded in 1736. We had lunch at McDonalds, did some shopping in the local market, and enjoyed one last day together as a team.
We shared an incredible last meal with our Guatemalan hosts (steak with chimichurri sauce, Argentinian sausage rolls called choripan, potatoes and a mango salad). After dinner, we gathered as a team to pray, reflect, and thank God for all that He has done during our time here.
Each team member has spent time writing out their testimony from the trip. We’ll share one final blog post soon featuring those reflections and stories of how God worked in and through our team this week.
