Second Clinic Day

Today we visited Iglesia Ministerios Vida, a church in San Lorenzo El Tejar. As we arrived, some of us recognized the church from when we visited it on our final clinic day last year. It was a busier day than yesterday, and our team had so many encouraging conversations with patients throughout the day.

Today’s story comes from Will:

“My name is Will and today I got the chance to be part of a counseling station with David Konigsberg and Fabiana as our translator. What I found really amazing about our time was experiencing God. When we were counseling we were doing the talking but God was doing the healing.

There was one woman who came to us who has been a Christian for a while and had accepted God into her heart. While we were talking to her we learned that her husband had been hurt by a church, and he wasn’t going to church anymore. We also learned that her daughter was going through depression and getting bullied at school. So then we prayed for her and during this time David and I could feel God’s presence, in the room and we could feel God’s power. There was the feeling that if she prayed for something God would do it whether it was a small thing or if she wanted to move a mountain.

Despite already praying for her multiple times God told him to ask if there was anything else that we could pray about for her. She told us that she wanted to regain the passion to serve the church that she had lost. So we prayed for her again and after we prayed we could feel that God was healing her and giving her the passion to serve once more.

It was the most amazing thing that I have ever experienced because even though we couldn’t see him healing her, we could feel God’s power to do anything. We also saw her feeling God changing her life and we could see her tearing up in joy.”

Thank you for your continued prayers, and please leave a comment. Our students love to hear from you!

  1. Hey everyone! It’s Aaliyah.

I feel so blessed to hear how the Lord is moving in and through you. I’m so proud of the way you’re tuning into His voice. Keep partnering with the Holy Spirit throughout this week and beyond.

Don’t let this well trip just stay a “week trip.” Let what the Lord is teaching you sink deep. Grow from it. Allow Him to mold you through it, and carry it with you as a tool for the rest of your life.

Love you all so much, and I’m praying for each of you!

P.S. Give my mom a big hug from me!

  2. Hey Maddy 💛

It’s Day 2 and I hope you woke up with peace in your heart and excitement for the day ahead. I’ve been praying that God continues to open your eyes to the beauty around you and the ways He’s moving through every conversation, every task, every moment. There’s something special about showing up just as you are and letting Him do the rest.

Keep leaning in, stay present, and let today unfold without pressure. You are covered, you are loved, and you’re doing exactly what you need to be doing right now 🌿✨

    Love,
