Third Clinic Day

Hey ya’ll! This is Lauren and Peyton, and we wanted to share our experience today.

Originally today Lauren was supposed to be in a different sharing station, but last minute she had to move stations. Although it wasn’t planned it wasn’t an accident. Today’s day was slow but don’t think for one second that it wasn’t impactful. Today we were in a sharing station with David, and our translator Axel. Today we met a 17 year old girl named Jesseis. She shared with us how she accepted Jesus into her heart three years ago at her home church. She went through a rough sickness and after recovering by the grace of Jesus, she decided to follow Jesus with all her heart. The part that stood out to us was what a rare and precious experience being prayed for was for her. She thanked us continuously with tears streaming down her face. She told us that the community at her church didn’t pray for each other and she often felt lonely. She was overfilled with gratefulness and you could see the joy in her eyes when we hugged goodbye. A little bit later, she came back and asked for a picture while her two kids stood and watched. It which was really heart warming for us for her to come back to get a picture. It was also surprising she had two kids at such a young age. It’s helped us realize how impactful it was for her, and how much we take for granted for our community that prays for us at our home church is.

From Copeland

Hello everybody, my name is Copeland, but most of you know me as Copeland. The third day was great! Where do I even begin? I guess at the beginning.

When we arrived it was a pretty slow start, but that was nice and it gave us time to prepare. And prepare we did. I was in the pharmacy with Rowan and we made a pretty good team. I feel like we didn’t really get overwhelmed because we worked out a pretty good rhythm, And we did that. There was a dog name Biscuit. I’m only mentioning this because I know it will mean a lot to my fellow teammates, and I’m pretty sure there is a picture, and a picture of a cat that was really cute.

It was an average day until it was almost done and there were two people who had been waiting, and it was after lunch. So everyone was just kind of floating around and I got pulled into one of the counseling stations with Kaala, Tim, and Gabriel. We skipped the normal stuff and asked why she was here. Looking back on that, that probably was a bad move, but it worked. She was here because she couldn’t control her emotions, and its a really sad story why. Her husband had gone to the States and wasn’t legally married there, so he cheated on her because he wasn’t legally married in the States. To make things worse, she had a ten-year-old that he was fighting for custody of.

We gave her words of affirmation and we started to pray for her. When I opened my eyes there were two glistening tear strains on the floor, so I put my arm around her. As Gabriel gave the woman her medication, I just thought “wow”. So that was my experience today. If you liked the story, say in the comment section “that knocked my socks off”.

  4. Hey team! It is such a joy to see the pictures and hear the testimonies of your experiences each day, and Copeland, “that knocked my socks off!”

2 Corinthians 12 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

I’m sure at this point in the week many have been out of your comfort zones. It may be things you hear, things you see, tasks assigned, people around you or just being tired and having to continue. Whatever it is, isn’t it amazing that in our weakness, He is strong. Continue leaning on His strength. He’s got you, is for you and “He’s where the joys at.”

Team Langmack and friends – We love you and are so proud of you! Cooper says he misses you and it’s too quiet here without you. Love, Mom, Cooper & Maggie

  8. Wow! God is doing amazing work through you all. First off – shout to Rowan & Copeland for working so well together. #winning.
Second, sometimes we get so caught up in life that we forget how much God cares about us and how fortunate we are to be able to speak directly to him. What a difference your prayers are making to these people. Especially to Jesseis. God has use you to give her more faith and more confidence and just surround her with God‘s love. Keep doing an awesome job you all we are all praying for you and smiling over to you.
