Last Day and Liza’s Story

The Team at Cerro de la Cruz in Antigua

Today’s post is from Liza.

The last day of this trip was certainly a day that I don’t think anyone here will forget for a very long time. The first thing we did today, was listen to our daily Hermann Sermon TM, then we went to the Market, and I think I speak for more then just myself when I say that it really put into perspective how much more well off we are then all those people in those markets. The stuff was super cool and most of it was handmade! Before we went, our leaders made it VERY CLEAR that we were under no circumstances were we allowed to buy a knife at the markets. Which completely ruined my plans 🙄 😂.

After the markets, we went to McDonald’s, it was not the same as american McDonald’s! It wasn’t better or anything, it was just different, I didn’t think it was that bad! My stomach didn’t like it though 😭.

After that we went to see this HUGE cross (the one in the picture just in case you couldn’t tell) It’s bigger in real life but its behind us so you can’t tell. Even though I felt pretty awful today, I still had such a good time!

I hope this whole group has good memories of today, and that we all remember the important stuff from this trip. I feel so much closer to all of my brothers and sisters in Christ that went on this trip! I’m going to be praying for all of you after this trip, and I hope that it means as much to you guys as it did to me.

I’ve been told that nobody else signed their blog post which is not something I will be copying from them, hope to see y’all next year! 🙂 -Liza Johnson 😎✌️

  3. Thanks for your insights, Liza! I pray you feel better- at least it’s at the end of the trip.
How glorious to see the cross. It’s a sign for you saints that were sent to serve and save. I hope you all carry the courage to minister to others when you return. Your experiences have definitely moved me. Safe travels!!💕
